Wellness & Preventive Care

Annual wellness exams evaluate your pets overall health, detect problems before they become serious, and keep them on track to live a long, healthy life. Preventative care is your pet’s first line of defense. Annual exams help by preventing, diagnosing, and treating disease in its early stages, often before any noticeable symptoms begin. The earlier treatment starts, the more effective it is, keeping your pet from unnecessary pain and suffering.

Puppy and Kitten Care

Do you have a new puppy or kitten? Congratulations! We can help your furry baby start off on the right paw with these important services:

  • Vaccinations with boosters are especially important for young puppies and kittens as they do not have full immunity from many serious infectious diseases. For example, the parvo virus in dogs and panleukopenia in cats are both deadly gastrointestinal diseases. It’s critical to ensure your puppy or kitten has completed the entire series of combo vaccinations to keep him or her protected.

  • A wellness visit is important because this exam helps us detect possible health problems early. Common, treatable problems can be found before they are noticed by their owners.

  • Spaying or neutering your pet has health benefits, in addition to helping with pet overpopulation. Spaying your puppy or kitten before her first heat offers the best protection from uterine infections and breast tumors. Neutering your male pet helps prevent testicular cancer and certain prostate problems.

  • A microchip provides secure, reliable, and permanent identification, which greatly increases the likelihood that your pet, if lost, will be returned to you.

  • Fleas, ticks, and heartworm-carrying mosquitoes are out in full force all year long. We can help you choose the best parasite preventions for your new pet.

We are also happy to answer any nutritional and behavioral questions you may have about your new friend. Give us a call at (724) 201-0772 to schedule an appointment.

Diagnostic and Radiology Services

Answers in a hurry!

Having a pet who’s not feeling their best is stressful, and the only thing you want is to get them well again as quickly as possible. The sooner we can figure out the problem, the sooner we can address it—and the sooner your pet can get back to being themselves.

That’s where our advanced diagnostics come in. We offer a comprehensive array of laboratory tests, many of which can be done on-site for rapid results. For more extensive lab needs, we partner with a high-quality external lab service Idexx. Our in-house imaging includes state of the art digital x-rays.

Diagnostics—they’re not just for sick pets!

Many people think of things like blood work and x-rays as only being needed when a pet is ill or injured, but that’s far from the truth! Routine blood work on healthy pets is not only valuable for establishing healthy ‘baseline’ values, it’s also vital in the early detection and treatment of any health issues. Routine x-rays can be an important part of an aging pet’s health care plan to monitor for any arthritic changes, as well as evaluating the health of your pet’s heart, lungs, and more. Ask us how our diagnostics can help your pet today!

Surgery is often the most effective way to treat many serious injuries and disorders, and Creekside Veterinary Care is proud to perform surgeries. We offer a full range of surgical services ranging from standard spaying and neutering to more advanced, procedures.

Surgery specialties include:

  • Routine spays and neuters
